This page contains all the logo idents I have made for SYFY over the past 5+ years. Each project began with a creative brief, usually around revealing their logo in a way that married genre programming and a current event/holiday. From there I was responsible for pitching ideas that fit that brief, working with SYFY on finalizing the idea, and then of course design, animation, sound design, the whole shebang.

TZGZ Recipes - Pizza

TZGZ was SYFYs foray into midnight programming (it's what comes after SYFY). A block of kid-unfriendly programming airing late at night, made specifically for people to watch while stoned (their words, not mine). This was a short spot aiming to help viewers remember the name. This provided a great opportunity to make something weird and gross. It's not often that the only client note is "add more blood". Unfortunately it seems TZGZ was rather short lived, and my sandwich and soup recipes never came to fruition.
The Mummy (1999)
In this case, SYFY wanted to create idents that highlighted specific programming they were airing. When they sent the list of movies they were creating for, I begged on hands and knees to work with The Mummy. They were kind enough (or maybe pitied me enough?) to oblige my request. During the couple weeks of production on this, I probably watched those first two movies 5 times each. I had to, it's for work!
